More than 500.000 women and children were slaughtered and killed by the Khmere Rouge.
This on top of the hundreds of thousands of
innocent Cambodians killed by the USA during the Americans
war with Vietnam has left the country of Cambodia devestated. The legacy of these henious crimes still lives on
today, the surviving women and children of cambodia are still waiting for
respite.
The world was inactive during the terrible reighn
of Pol Pot. We did nothing as
America pounded a neutral country - Cambodia - into dust, America bombed Cambodia day in and day
out.Hundreds of thousands of men, women and children
died. America then funded armies to destroy and overthrow the Cambodian Royal family.
This gave rise to the Pol Pot, Khmere Rouge (red Cambodian army), without Americas interferance Pol Pot would never have
happened.
We as a modern civilised society sat and watched, we did nothing, let's not allow this inactivity to continue.

We are a new generation, we are informed, we are
well off, we have instant communications and information at our fingertips, we
are educated and supposed to be caring for our
fellow man. We have many things our parents and grandparents
did not have. Despite the technological advances - are we a
carbon copy of previous generations or are we going to do something about
helping these people?
